Meet Dr. Center

Dr. Steve Center has practiced anti-aging and functional medicine in San Diego since 1998. A graduate of the University of Michigan and Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Dr. Center did his internship and residency at UCSD Medical Center and Tulane University in general and orthopedic surgery.  He practiced holistically oriented family medicine between 1986 and 2009, with an emphasis on natural healing methods for most medical conditions, acute and chronic pain and functional disorders. After attending seminars provided by American Board of Anti-aging and Regenerative Medicine (A4M) since 1996, Dr. Center started formal training in 2001, and he became a Diplomate of the American Board of Anti-aging and Regenerative Medicine, ABAARM*. At that time he was selected to be a board examiner.  In 2010 Dr. Center completed a two-year fellowship by the American Board of Anti-aging and Regenerative Medicine.

Dr. Center has given public and professional presentations, including hospital grand rounds, on four continents since 1986, concerning anti-aging, hormones, natural supplements, and other subjects. His most recent medical article on natural growth factor replacement was published in the annual journal of the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, where he was also a poster presenter. He established BodyLogicMD of San Diego in April 2008 and moved to his current Mission Valley location in November 2010.

Dr. Center’s chapter on testosterone pellet implantation was included in the American Academy of Anti-aging and Regenerative Medicine’s Anti-Aging Therapeutic Handbook, Volume 14  in December 2012. Dr. Center was formally trained in testosterone pellet implantation and has performed over 3000 implantations since May 2008, carefully monitoring clinical response to ensure optimal benefits and safety. He currently trains interested physicians in pellet implantation in his office assisted by patient volunteers and speaks at medical symposia on this subject.

Dr. Center has been the medical director of Earth’s Bounty/Matrix Health Products since 1992, assists in the formulation of their cutting-edge products and uses them in his practice every day.
